New job

I've signed up for a new job and will start to work with environmental and 'green' issues...something far more interesting, vital and important than the IT business where I used to work. I'm very excited :-)

Autumn Update

It's been a while again since I posted anything here. I've been quite busy and actually forgot that I had this blog that I'm supposed to update frequently. I mean, that's the thing about blogs...frequent updates about nothing and everything...isn't it?

Anyway...this is my favourite season (I think). I really like autumn and I feel alot more creative and inspired when coloured leaves fall off the trees, the wind is quite chilly and when it's constantly raining...guess I'm weird ;-)

Recently I've attended a wedding (Jacob and Lisa) and I wrote the wedding couple a song, exclusively theirs' which they seemed to like alot. This weekend we're going to baptize Wilmer and Alexander and for that special occasion I've also written a tune that I and Linda will perform in church. I'm feeling quite nervous 'cause it was like 15 years ago since I performed anything live. Maybe I'll go ahead and upload it on iComp later next week.

A walk in the rain

Alexander and I decided (hmm...well...guess I decided) to take a walk in the heavy rain. It just poured down on us and it was quite chilly outside. I loved it and Alexander seemed to enjoy it as well.



I guess the summer is over now and autumn is about to approach us with beautiful colorful leaves and heavy wonderful rain. I really like this season :-)

Summer vacation

Ok...so it's been a while since I posted anything. We've been up to the mountains again (Kittelfjäll), helping Linda's brother with some painting and contruction work. We destroyed an old cottage that blew away in the Easter-storm and Peter will use the material to build a garage for their snowmobiles.

We also found some time to take a walk in the forest. Here you can see Linda and Wilmer exploring the old forest. Wilmer was the leader of the day and guided us through the forest ;-)




In Sweden, Midsummer's Day is a wonderful happening where we come together and celebrate the summer. We had a great time with some friends, dancing around a pole symbolizing a man's penis, drinking alot and eating a delicious dinner.





Finally....the best experience for me personally...was when Peter and I decided to do some rock-climbing. That was a really cool experience that I want to do alot more. Until this day I had only done some indoor-climbing...and I have to tell you...this is different and so much cooler...wow :-)

Johan - The Gardener ;-)

During the last week we have been doing some serious gardening. To be honest I didn't think that was my cup of tea, but it suprised me as I felt the joy of digging some dirt and planting flowers and bushes. I guess it's the contrast with my other interest - sitting in front of the computer and composing music. To get down on your knees and get really dirty and giving life to a flower and re-organizing a garden...wow....that's hardcore stuff indeed...LOL :-D

I'm in the zone again

Most of my music creations come simultaneously during a very short period of time. I remember I wrote the album (entitled Johan's Boat) for the american artist etgilles in only four weeks. The music just pours out of my fingers in some strange way. And then, there are times when I'm not able to create anything. Hmmm...I guess it's nothing unusual!?

Well...now I'm in that creative zone again and I'm so happy. I've written a duet for etgilles and a Swedish artist named Petra Borén, finished a new track that I'm gonna post myself on iComp tomorrow. I've also finished a remix of one of the tunes on Johan's Boat - Today. This in only a few days.

Ok...let's see if I'm able to create something more....cya :-)

Since I don't have much time these days to create any music, I searched my catalogue of old unfinished projects and found a treasure...in my humble opinion ;-)

I just had to write some lyrics, sing it and voila...finished :-)

Beautiful Spring

Finally...I've been waiting for so long. The sun is shining and it's close to 20 degrees Celsius up here in the North. All the snow is gone now, generously decided to melt and make way for a new season. I am very thankful ;-)

It's hard to focus...I just want to take my bike and go for a ride....hopefully I will find some time to do just that...very very soon.

Gone fishing

Today is a beautiful day :-)

Last night we got a lot of snow up here in the mountains (Kittelfjäll) and today the sun is smiling at us, making the snow powder sparkle and shine in all it's glory.

We decided to go fishing...there was a contest a few kilometers away...so we took our snowmobiles and drove over there. We didn't get any fish...but with weather like this...that doesn't matter.

Wilmer and Alexander decided not to attend the fishing contest....they were too tired and decided to sleep on the ice instead ;-)

Now...we're preparing dinner, expecting a few friends to join us shortly.

Happy Easter!

We're up in the mountains (Kittelfjäll) and celebrating Easter along with Linda's brother and his family.

There's still a lot of snow up here and it's really windy....close to a hurricane sometimes. But that's just fun....some good old weather action...hehe :-)

I don't know the plans for today right now....but I guess we will go out and play in the snow and maybe go for an adeventure with our snowmobiles. Wilmer loves to ride the snowmobile.

We're blowing away!

We were planning on heading for the mountains today in order to celebrate Easter but we had to cancel it due to the hard weather. It's a god damn hurricane outside!

Our wind shield and fence in the backyard have collapsed....so I guess I have a lot to fix when this is all over.

The Great Alexander

We've decided to name the new baby Alexander. After a long and hard discussion we finally struck a deal ;-)

We're still thinking about his other names. Wilmer's got three names (Wilmer Alfred Leopold) and the new kid should also get three names. So....the debate continues and we'll get back to you when we have decided all names.

The two recent nights have been tough for Alexander (and us) due to a cold he's having. He's having problems breathing through his nose and babys that small don't know how to breathe through the mouth yet...they only do that while screaming....so there's been alot of screaming lately :-(

This is really hard

We've been thinking for two weeks now but we still haven't come up with a name for the new family member. How come it's so damn hard?

I found it much easier to come up with different girl names....but I guess I can't name him something girlish...can I? LOL :-D

So...throw us some ideas....we definitely need your help. The only criteria is that it should work with his big brother's name - Wilmer. It should flow saying their names together in one sentence.

HELP!!

First day at home

Ok...so now we're home again and we've brought a new friend into our house. A beautiful and wonderful little baby with no name yet. If you have any name suggestions, please inform us :-)

The first night home was pretty tough. The baby kept on screaming for hours due to stomach pain...we think. Now we're sitting in our sofa watching some TV...damn...the TV shows during daytime is really poor...hehe....maybe I should run away and rent a movie or something. Or maybe I should just try to get some sleep.

New baby born this morning

This morning at 3AM, Wilmer's little brother was born. A big and healthy kid with lots of dark hair.

I will upload some photos as soon as I can find the cable and connect the camera to my computer :-)

Finally, I'm creative again :-)

Recently I've been way too busy to even think about music and composing. And when I've found some time, I just haven't been able to create....some kind of creative block, I guess.

But yesterday I decided to go back to basics and work that synth pop heart of mine. And when I don't try to complicate things by exploring new grounds, I realized that I still can create a tune within 2 hours, which is the amount of time that's available these days. So...I worked those synths and did two more songs and uploaded them to www.icompositions.com. Feels really good 'cause I hate when I have these creative blocks. I need to do music in order to feel good about myself...some kind of therapy I guess.

I'm also working on a new album for etgilles and I think I have a new song for him in the works as well :-)

To summarize...I'm happy when I'm able to be creative....so today is a very good day....LOL...see ya.

Wilmer's sick again :-(

So...I'm home again taking care of Wilmer who's got a fever and a bad cough. It's really painful to see him in this situation, constantly coughing and dizzy with fever. He recently told Linda: "Mama, please make this cough go away".

And children's medicin sucks...there's no effect at all...he could use something stronger right now but I guess I can't pour him a good old whisky..can I? LOL :-D

Finally he fell asleep and hopefully he will be able to sleep this through. In the meantime I will try to get some work done...huge workload at the moment.

A trip to Stockholm

Just landed in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. I’m here on a business trip and it’s great to be back…and a bit melancholic ‘cause I really miss this town…still…after 2 years in Umeå. Don’t get me wrong, I really like Umeå and it feels like home now…but still…Stockholm will always be my true home…I think!?

Ok…tonight I will go out for a dinner with some of my friends and tomorrow I will pay some old business contacts a visit. I fly back on Thursday.

I have only been away from Linda and Wilmer for a few hours…but God…I miss them so much already.

Expecting a new family member

Now I'm starting to get at bit nervous. Only one more month to go and then we'll be four members of this family.

OMG, will I be able to handle it? Two little kids with different needs and different sleeping behaviours. On top of that, a new job and a very heavy workload at the moment. Well..well...millions of people have been able to cope with it...so why shouldn't I? But I can't help feeling a bit nervous...guess it's natural...hehe :-)

Linda is getting pretty big and she can't wait to get this over with...she wants that baby now...and I totally understand her. It can't be easy working all day with that weight around your waist....even heavier when that mean little baby keeps kicking her constantly...lol :-)

Here I am...

Finally...I've decided to create my own little blog :-)

My intention for this blog is to write about stuff that I'm interested in, such as music production and different tech stuff. As I work for an IT firm focusing on intelligent and business critical Internet applications, I think I will explore the subjects web 2.0 and business 2.0 a lot. I will also use this blog as some kind of brainstorm area where I can throw you some ideas, hoping to get some quality feedback. That will mostly concern how to use web 2.0 philosophy and technology in B2B cases. Today this is mostly used in B2C cases and my aim is to get an understanding how we can use this new stuff and incorporate it in a business critical application.
