First snow and chickenpox

Today I'm home with the kids. They have chickenpox and it's been a long and boring week for them. They really miss their friends at preschool and mum and dad ain't that fun to play with anymore :-)

Wilmer just shouted out that he could see the first snowflakes fall down from heaven. I looked outside the window, and yes, the very first snow...cool. Hopefully this winter will turn out better than last winter when we experienced minus and plus degrees every other day, leaving us with just ice covering the ground. Not very pleasant. I want a lot of snow or nothing at all.

A trip into the forest

Yesterday, the whole family along with Peter & Pia and their kids, went for a trip into the forest outside of Umeå, near the ocean. It was one of those magical days with lots of sun and happy kids.

First work-week and some crayfish

I'm about to finish my first week back at work. It feels a bit strange (as it always does) to come back to work after a long Swedish Summer vacation. I had four weeks off, visiting family and friends and just enjoying myself in the sun. I know that most americans only get 1-2 weeks of Summer vacation, so I guess I'm very fortunate to be a swede...at least during Summer...LOL :-D

Tonight me and my family will visit some friends for a crayfish party. It's Linda's turn to get dizzy (read: drink), so I guess I will just take it easy and play around with the kids while consuming those delicate crayfishes :-)

A pleasure trip

Tonight I will take the flight to Stockholm and join my friends Martin and Jacob. We're heading out to an island in the morning called 'Norröra' in the beautiful archipelago of Stockholm. That island is famous for the shoot of Astrid Lindgren's story 'Saltkråkan'. Martin bought a Summer cottage there last year where we will have a few days off, just enjoying ourselves with great food and beverage.

Another town, another hotel, new faces

I'm out on another business trip in a small town way up north in Sweden called Vilhelmina. I'm staying at Vilhelmina Hotel and look forward to dinner as I know the chef and know that he usually makes some great dishes. Staying here 'til Thursday and I already miss my beautiful family.

I'm an old man now...LOL :-D

Jeez.....guess it's time to retire....buy a house in Florida or Spain and just sit on the porch watching youngsters pass by and envy their youth and vitality. Hmmmmm......LOL :-D

Busy Bee

I don't have anything interesting to add to this blog...and that's why you haven't seen any new posts since December last year. I'm a busy bee, focusing on work right now and family. Guess I could write about that...of course ;-)
Well...my job is really interesting and my colleagues are quite odd but funny...LOL :-D
My son Alexander turned one year March 7th...he's been walking around since he was 10 months old and he's always (I'm a proud parent...I'm allowed to exaggerate) happy and full of life. Wilmer is getting really tall..and smart as hell...bet he'll become the rocket-scientist of this family.
And I miss music...god I miss music..but I'll be back :-)
